Casablanca, February 6, 2020 -  Attijariwafa bank is the first Moroccan bank 100% compliant with the international standard SWIFT gpi (Global Payment Innovation) as of January 13, 2020.

Indeed, in February 2017, SWIFT made the SWIFT gpi standard operational and invited the banks that are members of its network to update their tools and to gradually comply with this new standard.

This is why Attijariwafa bank has included this project in its strategic plan, in order to adopt this standard and thus deliver constant improvements in the customer experience of international payments.

The implementation of this standard will allow to offer to all international banking customers and partners an experience in line with the international best practices combining digitalization, transparency, reactivity and security.

The use of this new standard will allow Attijariwafa bank’s customers, particularly those of the Corporate market, to immediately benefit from numerous improvements, namely, an optimized cash management, a control of the supply chain, a simpler reconciliation process, a transparency on bank charges as well as a reduced time for managing complaints and investigations.

Attijariwafa bank thus confirms its leadership in the international accompaniment of the economic operators and its proximity to its clients especially in the management of their international payments.
